Tailgate Challenge:

Thank you for your interest in being a competitor at the 9th Annual Maryland State BBQ Bash Tailgate Challenge in Bel Air, MD. The Tailgate Challenge is a pork rib cooking contest to be held the afternoon of Friday, August 13, 2020 as part of the 9th Annual Maryland State BBQ Bash. ALL participants must be at the contest site by 1:00 p.m. and MUST attend a mandatory contest meeting at 1:20 p.m. Only the ribs themselves and a turn-in container will be supplied by the contest. ALL other equipment needs MUST be supplied by the competitors. Contest rules are attached. Space is available for 30 competitors. If you are interested in competing, please complete the form at the bottom of this letter and return it with your payment by no later than Friday, July 30, 2020.

Past competitors will be given preference until Friday, July 30, 2020. New competitors may be selected, but only AFTER past competitors have been selected first AND only IF there are slots still available. We will notify you by Friday, August 6, 2020 if you have been selected to compete in the event. Your payment will not be deposited until the application is approved.
