Judging Application:

Thank you for your interest in serving as a judge at the 9th Annual Maryland State BBQ Bash Championship, a KCBS Qualifier Event, in Bel Air, MD. Judging for the 9th Annual Maryland State BBQ Bash Championship will begin at noon on Saturday, August 14, 2020 and end at approximately 2:00 p.m. A mandatory judges’ meeting will be held before the judging starts at 10:30 a.m. There will also be a Tailgate Challenge for local contestants on Friday, August 13, 2020 with judging scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. If you are interested in being a judge for one, or both events, please complete the form below.

Completed applications are due no later than Friday, June 25, 2010. Over the past several years we have seen a dramatic increase in last minute cancellation of judges. Please be reasonably certain that you are able to attend before you volunteer. Also, please notify us ASAP if you cannot make it to the event after you have been selected as a judge.

Only KCBS or MIM certified judges will be considered in our first selection of judges. Non-certified judges will only be considered if we are unable to fill the required slots with certified judges. You will be notified by Friday, July 2, 2020 if you have been selected as a primary or back-up judge.
